The Video Recorder Audio Adapter allows you to record everything from the aircraft intercom system to your external Digital Audio/Video Recorder. It's great for creating your own aerial videos without excess cabin noise. It will record all of the audio transmitted through the intercom system, including in-cabin audio and ATC transmissions.
It works with devices that use a 3.5mm stereo external mic input such as the GoPro HERO, Drift HD, or any other handheld Video Camera or personal audio recorder. Or, use it with a handheld digital audio recorder to create your own CVR (Cockpit Voice Recorder). If you plan on using this with a Smartphone or Tablet (i.e. iPhone, iPad, Android, Windows Phone, etc.), you should instead get the Smartphone Digital Audio Adapter for airplanes which is specifically built for Smartphones. If you are using this exclusively with the GoPro HERO, you should consider the GoPro HERO Aircraft Audio Adapter instead.

Q: Will this pick up all the receive audio I have selected as monitor on my audio panel? All radios selected and intercom. This should be all the same feed right?
A: Your headset would plug into this adapter and then you would connect this adapter to your panel. Anything that you hear (or transmit) would be recorded.

Q: "Records sounds transmitted through the intercom system only" <-- Does this mean it only records what is being transmitted and not what is being received like from tower? (Incoming dialog?)
