The Video Recorder Audio Adapter allows you to record all transmissions (local and remote) from the helicopter or military intercom system to your external GoPro Hero 5 through 12 video camera. It's great for creating your own aerial videos without excess cabin noise. It will record all of the audio transmitted through the intercom system, including in-cabin audio and ATC transmissions.
This is a special adapter made exclusively for use with the GoPro HERO 5, HERO 5 Session, HERO 6, HERO 7 Black, HERO 8 Black, HERO 9 Black, and HERO 10,11, and 12 Black. The GoPro Hero 5 through 12 Black use a USB-C connector for audio instead of the Mini USB or 3.5 mm jacks found on previous generation GoPro's. Can be used with civilian Helicopter (High Impedance) or Military (Low Impedance) headsets or helmets that have a single U-174/U or equivalent single plug.
Great for CFI's and Students to review radio communication skills after the flight!

Works well so far, would recommend. Captures all intercom, including ATC and in-cabin. Am a student pilot and this is great for reviewing ATC calls and what the instructor is teaching/providing feedback on during maneuvers. Without this all you hear on the gopro is a bunch of rotor noise.
Note, expect some minor background noise, it's not fully noise cancelling.
