Q: Does this cable also work to use the Iphone cell phone to make and receive calls, if not, which would be the option to buy, thanks
A: This adaptor will only work for recording or listening to audio via your smart phone. It cannot be used as a communication device. If you need to make phone calls you would need to get something like the Matchbox Cell Phone Interface or the Pilot USA BluLink Cell Phone to Aviation Headset Adapter.
