Really nice headset, worth it.

  • By A Customer on Wednesday, July 07, 2021
  • Pros: Comfortable, clear sound,
  • Review: I really enjoyed this headset, they're not tight around the head and provide great amount of noise reduction. Only gripe I have the padding comes off fairly easily, sometimes while taking them out of my bag.

A bit louder than I hoped

  • By matt from chicago IL USA on Tuesday, November 05, 2013
  • Pros: lightweight, comfortable, typical DC quality
  • Review: This headset is lighter than the H10-20 that I used for most of my private rating but it seems less able to suppress the noise of the helicopter (269C). I bought this headset for my wife and other passengers. My wife is small and was bothered by the weight of other headsets on longer flights. She thinks this one is more comfortable. That was the goal. This headset is probably fine as a back-up or for non-frequent passengers. I would buy a better DC for frequent use. I use a modified David Clark H10-56 for myself and the noise reduction is far better.

Q: I am looking at this headset as well as the H10-60H and am wondering if you recommend one more than the other. I have no plans of flying fixed wing now but that may change, so any tips would be appreciated.

A: If you don't have any plans for fixed wing, I would go with the H10-13H headset.  It's a lighter headset and the noise reduction is very similar.  With the H10-60H you are able to swap the cords (sold separately) but if you ever need to do that with the H10-13H you can get an adapter for about half the price of a new cord on the H10-60H.
