Works great in all

  • By Johnno 520 from Tucson, AZ on Monday, July 19, 2021
  • Pros:
  • Review: I've had this headset since 1994 and it works great in both fixed wing (with the plug adaptor) and helicopters. I was in Saudi Arabia a long time back with the fielding team of the first AH-64A Apache helicopters to the Saudi Army and using the IHADDS helmet adaptor plug, this headset worked beautifully from the fron seat of an Apache. You just can't get better than David Clark!

  • Pros:
  • Review: Be prepared to purchase a mic cover with it, if you are flying Robinsons. Keys mike fairly often.

Great basic robust piece of equipment!

  • By Aeromechanick from Lancaster CA USA on Wednesday, March 09, 2016
  • Pros: All features.
  • Review: Great build quality. The components all seem well made and representative of good old American products. I like the versatility of the dual impedance feature, I've used the headset in both civil and military applications and the performance is equally great in either configuration. The microphone isn't as sensitive as some of their other models...but this is just an observation, it is still plenty adequate and reliable considering the ambient noise levels during use.

Doesn't get any better than this one

  • By George Poncy from Palm Beach, FL on Friday, February 08, 2013
  • Pros: Transmissions very clear. Don't need ENC with this headset. No distortion at any volume level. No trouble hearing ATC clearly.
  • Review: Excellent performer with 27 db of noise protection. Extremely comfortable and has never become fatiguing even on long flights. I don't use the low impedance switch (military) but adapter plug for fixed wing. A very high quality product.

Q: I bought a new david clark Headsets H10-66 to be used on cessna 172 after rcieving them i found that they have only one plug. are they suited to cessna or there is any adaptor to be used.

A: Because the H10-66 is a dual impedance headset, you will not need to convert impedance to use it in a civilian fixed wing aircraft.  You simply need to convert from the single plug to standard dual plugs with our Fixed Wing Adapter.

    A: This headset has a single U174/U helicopter/military plug.
