Highly recommend

Only one flaw.

  • By A Customer from Spokane. WA on Monday, December 19, 2016
  • Pros: Convenient in your lap.
  • Review: I have used this for about 6 months instructing every day. Works well except the top right IPad button is covered by the strap and its an essential button. Solution is to leave that strap disconnected and just be careful not to let it slip out. I also melted a hole in the strap so I can push the button but Im not reccomending doing that. Additionally the straps block controls on apps that have them tight in the corners. All that being said I would get another one, it has some flaws but when coupled with the kneeboard its a nice product.

The right solution for me

  • By Randy from Slinger WI USA on Wednesday, July 13, 2016
  • Pros: Great way to keep the iPad and all of the checklist in one easy accessible location.
  • Review:

I have tried multiple yolk and window mount devices for my iPad Mini and was unhappy with the results. Had a problem with the yoke mount option partially obscuring the flight instruments and the window option not in a user-friendly location. I love having access to the iPad on the knee board. I can easily flip to my checklists and reference material already on the knee board and still have quick and easy access to the iPad.

The only small complaint I have is that the iPad lies completely flat on my leg. I added a small lift device to the back of the holder for better viewing.

just one little tweak

  • By A Customer from Seattle WA on Wednesday, September 23, 2015
  • Pros: Small, and in a helicopter doesn't block the collective arm movement
  • Review: I found this very helpful. The only real complaint I have is the upper right hand corner. The elastic covers the power button, which if you're like me you use frequently because I turn the iPad on, reference what I need to, and turn it off again to sleep mode to conserve battery. This can't be done with that corner tucked into the elastic because the elastic is simply too thick to press the button through. As I result my iPad is secured by three corners which seems to hold it well enough, but I'd feel better if all four were secured. I also know this seems to be a common opinion and solution because three other pilots I fly with at work all use this holder, and all do the same thing. But other than that, it's a really good design

Good for the iPad mini with out a cover

  • By Angelo from Oak Lawn IL USA on Wednesday, December 10, 2014
  • Pros: Holds the iPad in place on my kneeboard and still allows me to access charts if needed.
  • Review: This works great for my needs in the helicopter cockpit. I would like to see it have a little more room on the elastic straps to support at least a thin protective cover. My spigen cover is not a thick cover like the otterbox covers and it barely fits. Most people have some sort of protector on iPads so it would be nice to make kneeboards that had more room.
