That was the goal. This headset is probably fine as a back-up or for non-frequent passengers. I would buy a better DC for frequent use. I use a modified David Clark H10-56 for myself and the noise reduction is far better.

Q: I am looking at this headset as well as the H10-60H and am wondering if you recommend one more than the other. I have no plans of flying fixed wing now but that may change, so any tips would be appreciated.
A: If you don't have any plans for fixed wing, I would go with the H10-13H headset. It's a lighter headset and the noise reduction is very similar. With the H10-60H you are able to swap the cords (sold separately) but if you ever need to do that with the H10-13H you can get an adapter for about half the price of a new cord on the H10-60H.
