Verified PurchaseQ: Will the electric mic 1142-22 work on my clark H10-40 headset?
A: No, this is a replacement mic that is intended for us only on the the David Clark H10-76 headset which uses a M87/AIC microphone. If you need a replacement mic for the David Clark H10-40, you would want to get the David Clark M-4 Electret Mic instead.
Q: Did actually get some feedback about conversion of a H10-76XL with this mic. I would like to know how reliably it works. I want to use the 10-76xl on a daily basis for commercial operations and I really need to know how got that works in Helicopters, since the mic only changes the impedance of the mic but nor of the earphones.
A: Yes, this microphone will reliably and consistently work for converting an H10-76XL headset for use in a civilian airplane. We have been selling this microphone for years and it works great for both the H10-76 and H10-76XL headsets.
Q: I have a David Clark H10-76 military headset and would like to use it in general aviation aircraft. I already have an adapter cord, David Clark P/N 18253G-05, if I purchace your Electret Mic P/N 1142-22 will this solve my impedence problem?
A: Yes, if you already have a Helicopter to General Aviation headset adapter, then you will just need to swap out the Dynamic Mic on the H10-76 with this Electret Mic and you should have no problem using your headset in civilian aircraft.
Q: I have aquired a DC H10-76 will electric mic and JB-08 adapter. But I woule like to use this headset in civilian helicopter as well. What do I need to do?
A: You would just use it (the 1142-22 mic) without the JB-08 adapter in the helicopter.
