When I showed him this coat, he said “That’s the one!” Then it took over a month to receive it as it got delayed in transit. He has liked wearing it to school and says he doesn’t get too hot at recess. Unfortunately the lining seams at the shoulder and arm have come undone and the fabric won’t give enough to see it back together.

Q: Why is the width at the shoulders smaller that the width at the chest on most sizes?
A:
The measurements are measured from seam to seam for the shoulders. Technically, the pattern is cut with the shoulders slightly smaller because the bottom of the sleeve, at the armpit, is slightly wider at the point where the chest is measured.
Almost all types of clothing are cut and measured in the same way.-, even adult clothing. When this item is worn it is not noticeable and doesn't feel any different than a standard jacket.
