Works great!! by A Customer from Daytona Beach, FL
Pros: Perfect for inflight videos with comms only. Cons: none Review: I have this adapter hooked into my GoPro Hero2 and it works great for recording only the intercom and mic transmissions instead of cabin noise. ATC and traffic calls are also captured while recording. However, there is a little electronic interference noise heard with RPM changes, but nothing too bad that it ruins the video and that also might be from the a/c avionics itself, so I'm not sure.

Works by Peter from Flowood MS USA
Pros: Works Cons: Too loud Review: Tried this product with my old camcorder yesterday, it allowed me to record cockpit audio, but the noise level was way too loud and not practical for my purposes without an in-line attenuator which is what I need to find next...

it's not a video recording adapter by Ralph from Mound MN USA
Pros: it works well with a new plug Cons: the 1/8" plug didn't fit my camera jack well (too loose). Review: It's not a video recording adapter, but an audio patch cord. I needed to cut the 1/8" plug off and add another plug that would fit my camera.

Great for Videos of your flights by john from beaverton OR USA
Pros: it just works Cons: Seems over priced, but hey - it works Review: Plugs into any camcorder with a Mic input and you can then record everything you hear and say through the headset. As others have said, you can use it with a voice recorder, if you just want audio and not video.

Great for voice recorders by A Customer from San Antonio TX USA
Pros: simple Cons: price Review: This adapter cable works great for recording in-flight audio on a digital voice recorder. I use a $60 Olympus recorder and the sound quality is very good. As a student pilot, I'm finding the recordings of my flights to be a great learning tool.

Needs a better audio plug. by KADS from Carrollton TX USA
Pros: Takes up very little room in the flight or camera bag. Cons: Very easily unplugged with out you noticing. Review: You will need to be careful when plugging it into your video camera or whatever you are using to record the audio portion of your flight. The fit is very lose and slips out just enough to interrupt the connection and you will get nothing on the audio part of your video. I have a Sony HDR-FX7 video camera and was disappointed after getting some great video but not any audio of the flight.
If you wish you could change out the small male plug with a better quality end. It looks straight forward enough to do in less than an hour… just a thought.

Improve your radio skills! by Barmerman from Tallahassee, FL
Pros: It works Cons: None Review: This product is billed as a "video" recorder adapter, but it is basically an audio feed of what you hear in your headphones (you and ATC) to any audio or video recorder. I connect it to a small mp-3 audio recorder, but any recorder will work.
I record all flights including those with students who review it on the ground and find it useful in building their radio communication skills. You can also easily visualize your flights, what happened and when.
It is a great gizmo.
