Excellent Purchase

  • By Holly from North Ogden UT USA on Thursday, February 06, 2025
  • Pros: Excellent fabric, cuffs and waistband, fit is perfect for him at 6' 1" and weighing 320 lb, we ordered the 3X.
  • Review: There isn't anything that my husband doesn't like about this jacket. He is a very picky shopper and wears nice clothing, and this jacket fits the fill! This bomber jacket is well made, has excellent cuffs and waistband and is made of quality fabric. It is warm and functional. We will be back in the future when it is time for another. He is a big man at 6' 1" and weighing 320 lb. The 3X fit perfectly.

Great Jacket

  • By A Customer from East Petersburg PA USA on Wednesday, April 13, 2022
  • Pros: Very stylish, roomy and lightweight, and did I say well made.
  • Review: This is a great jacket. Roomy, light weight and stylish. Not super warm, like a p coat, but for say 25 degrees or higher works fine. Below that, you might want to consider something else. Very happy with mine.

Not my first one

  • By Iceman from Sandy UT USA on Sunday, December 27, 2020
  • Pros: fit, wear and warmth.
  • Review: I got this to replace one that is 18 years old after the waistband stretched out. I eventually fixed that one and now have two. Which is why I noticed that the nylon shell is lighter weight on the new one. That is my only reason for the 4 stars instead of 5. But the first one lasted 18 years. If I can get 15 out of the new one I will still feel pretty good about it. These are a nice casual coat (I put a couple of Harley patches on mine) and very warm. Would definately buy another if I live long enough to wear out the second one. Fit as expected. I normally wear XL T-shirts and an XXL is a good fit for me in the jackets.

Great Buy To Fly!

  • By Kenneth from Fresh Meadows NY USA on Wednesday, December 23, 2020
  • Pros: Provides good overall warmth; water repellent shell; turn-up collar; large front flap pockets
  • Review: This jacket is comfortably warm during moderately cold weather; the turn-up collar keeps the back of your neck/head warm. It could use a wide, buttoned flap across the front of the collar for total protection. The front flap pockets are great for holding somewhat large and/or bulky items. Additionally useful would be two front slash pockets to keep one's hands warm. The nylon shell is water repellent, making the jacket especially useful for inclement weather. All told a good value for the price.

Excellent jacket

  • By Brad from Wheat Ridge CO USA on Friday, November 15, 2019
  • Pros: Collar for wind protection
  • Review: Have worn Alpha Industries MA-1 jacket for years. Have worn the MA-1 jacket when the temp was at least -15F or more (Colorado), and kept my upper body warm. The CWU-45P will undoubtedly will perform the same or better (Collar for wind).

Q: i am planing to buy 2 jackets but viewing the reviews says that i have to buy a size up..im normaly wear size large,so i have to buy a xl?thank you very much

A: With any Alpha Flight Jacket, if you want a roomier feel, order one size larger than you normally would because these are tight fitting jackets.  If you normally wear a large, and don't want a tight/slim fit, then we would recommend an extra-large.

  • Friday, April 16, 2010

Q: Does this jacket have "hand warmer" pockets or just the large flap pockets?

A: This jacket does not have side hand-warming pockets, only the front pockets.

  • Wednesday, November 04, 2009

Q: Do these jackets run large, or true to there size?

A: They all run fairly true to size.  However, if you are are only going to be wearing thin t-shirts under the jacket, you may find that it runs a little large.  The sizing assumes that you are going to be wearing a heavier shirt or sweater under the jacket.
