This is my second set with the first set purchased way back in 1999 for FS2000. They were still working with MSFS until I lost them in a move late last year! It is a well built proven design that plays nice with all ranges of sims I've used and has zero center play dead zone.
I will say that my only two wishes would be for an elevated feet option to raise up the pedals to a more realistic vertical pedal angle, but that's just nitpicking. I do however feel the USB cord coming straight out the back can be an issue for those who have them up against a wall as I do - it bends at 90 degrees right out of the hole and that can't be good long term (I used wood spacers to chock the base back an inch or so from the wall).

Can't say whether or not they make this as well as the model I have owned for well over 15 years but mine has been great. Is it the perfect rudder system? I can't say for sure. Mine isn't the smoothest when braking (left brake overly sensitive) and the rudder system (for ground steering is ok but could be smoother) but it has been working. I actually took it apart to clean out the dust and the parts looked OK. If it breaks and I can't fix it, I would consider purchasing another one.

Q: Is it necessary to have the rudder pedals to get the actual experience of the yoke with the Microsoft flight simulator? I am trying to save $ on a gift for my husband this year and thought I would get him just the yoke and save the rudder for another time. Thank you.
A: It is not necessary to use the rudder pedals, the yoke by itself would work just fine. The rudder controls can be configured to any buttons on the keyboard or on the yoke itself.
