The Aviator is a classic airline pilot shirt worn by more commercial pilots than any other shirt. Made with 65% wrinkle free polyester and 35% combed cotton, this poplin fabric looks great and is easy to care for. Two flap pockets with pencil slot, tuck in tails, and double button adjustable cuff make this a classic airline shirt. White.
Size is shown as neck/collar size x sleeve length in inches. For example, 16.5 x 34/35 is a 16.5" collar and and 34" - 35" sleeve.

- Review: I have bought this brand and style of shirt many times before but all 5 of the shirts I purchased 6 months ago are starting to pill (small balls of broken fibers) all over the shirts. I do not believe the material is of the same standard as in the past. I will not be buying this type of shirt again, the quality has declined.

- Review: Over all the fit of the short is excellent. I purchased it because I've had good experience with Van Heusen in the past. The two things I'm not a fan of are the material (it's a little light weight) and the length of the tails. I have to load baggage and so have to raise my arms over my head. I've found that after a few bags the shirt becomes untucked. That's not the best look for a pilot. Other than that, the shirt is fine. It would probably work well for people who won't be loadin bags or that are flying planes with low baggage doors.

Q: How come the long sleeve Aviator doesn't appear to come in a 16X32/33? I only see 16.5 size shirts available.
A: About two years ago Van Heusen stopped making the long sleeve shirts in the whole sizes (i.e. 16, 17, 18, etc.). They have gone to what is called "Tuxedo Sizing" which is only every half inch. If you want/need the full size, you can look at the AP Elite Long Sleeve Shirt.

Q: This shirt used to come in whole sizes. 14.5 is too small...15.5 to big
A: About two years ago Van Heusen stopped making the long sleeve shirts in whole sizes. Now, they are only available in half sizes (i.e. 14.5 and 15.5). The short sleeve shirts are still available in both whole and half sizes.
