30-day Money Back GuaranteeFour Bar Pilot Epaulets - Captain
Every professional aviator knows the importance of wearing a polished, correct pilot uniform, including pilot epaulets. Not only do pilot epaulets show your rank, they complete the professional look of a pilot’s uniform. Pilot epaulets, also referred to as epaulets, epaulettes, shoulder bars, or stripes, are a tradition expanded from the military, and are now a standard for most flight crew members.
These pilot epaulets are used by major airlines, corporate flight departments and flight schools around the world. These traditional slide on shoulder boards are constructed of quality fabrics, lock stitched to prevent unraveling. They are 3 3/8" long with standard 3/8" wide stripes (official military braid).
Sold as a pair. Choose your epaulet background color (black or navy) and braid color. Pictured (from left to right); Gold Nylon on Black, Gold Metallic on Black, Silver Metallic on Black and Silver Nylon on Black.

Q: Why don't you ask us how many stripes we want? Our organization has 4 different rank levels. Some people need one stripe, some people need four stripes.
A: You asked this question on the page for the Four (4) Bar Epaulets. We also offer 3 bar, 2 bar, 1 bar, and no stripe epaulets.
Q: How do you attach the Epaulets to the shirt?
A: They simply slide over the epaulet holder of any pilot shirt.
Q: For one white shirt, how many sets do I need to order?
A: The epaulets are sold as a pair (one set per shirt).
Q: Do you do two (2) gold bars on black and if so, how long is the actual epaulet in inches. Thanks
A: Yes, we do carry Two Bar Epaulets. They are 3.5" long.
Q: Is the price per pair?
A: Yes, this is for a pair (two epaulets).
Q: Between the Metallic and nylon, which one is lighter or Brighter.
A: In the picture, they are shown (from left to right); Gold Nylon on Black, Gold Metallic on Black, Silver Metallic on Black and Silver Nylon on Black.
Q: What is the length of the 4 bar epaulet? What is the width? Is there a taper, what is width at each end? Thanks
A: The length is 3.5". The width tapers from around 2" to 2.5".
Q: Can you tell me what the different meanings (if any) are associated with 1) the various colors of bars on epaulets, and 2) the color of the epaulet itself (black vs blue).
A: There really is no significance to the colors of the epaulets. It is all a matter of personal preference. Some airlines and charter operations require specific colors.
