True 1080p HD Video
The Garmin VIRB Elite records true 1080p HD video with a WideVu lens and 16 megapixel CMOS sensor. Multiple video modes let you choose the resolution and frame rate for your activity, including slow-motion recording at up to 120 fps.

1.4" Chroma Display
The built-in 1.4" full-color Chroma display lets you set up and preview shots, play back video, change menu settings, select slow motion, and switch between video and still photography. The display remains on while using minimal power.

Long-Life Battery
VIRB Elite uses a removable 2000 mAh lithium-ion battery capable of recording up to 3 hours of 1080p video. Replacement batteries and additional charging options are sold separately.

GPS and Wi-Fi
High-sensitivity GPS supports data stamping and GPS-based recording profiles. Built-in Wi-Fi provides wireless communication with a compatible smartphone or computer, allowing you to preview the image, control playback, adjust settings, start or stop recording, and remotely capture still photos.

ANT+ and External Sensors
ANT+ connectivity allows compatible Garmin devices, including select fenix, Oregon, and Edge models, to function as wireless remotes. VIRB Elite can also pair with compatible external sensors such as Garmin tempe, speed/cadence sensors, and premium heart rate monitors to add sensor information to recorded activities.

The camera also includes a built-in accelerometer and altimeter for data stamping and custom recording profiles.

Easy Operation
A large instant-record slider switch on the side of the camera makes it easy to start recording and confirm operation, even while wearing gloves. Its streamlined, rugged body is designed for active use.

Digital Stabilization
Digital image stabilization helps smooth video during bumpy activities. Lens Distortion Correction helps reduce distortion before editing.

16 Megapixel Photography
VIRB Elite also captures still photos at 16, 12, or 8 megapixels. Choose single-shot, Photo Burst, or Time Lapse modes. Still photos can be captured using the camera controls or compatible remote devices.

Video and Photos at the Same Time
Capture still photos without stopping your video recording. VIRB Elite can take a photograph while video is being recorded using the camera button or a compatible Garmin remote device.

VIRB Edit Software
Garmin VIRB Edit desktop software provides video editing tools designed to work with data from VIRB Elite's built-in sensors, compatible external sensors, and other Garmin devices. Sensor information such as speed, heart rate, acceleration, and altitude can be incorporated into videos.

Mounting Options
A variety of optional mounts are available for flat surfaces, curved surfaces, decks, dashboards, handlebars, helmets, shoulder straps, and other applications. Garmin VIRB mounts use interlocking joints designed to provide secure, anti-vibration positioning. An adapter is also available for use with other industry mounts.

Water Resistance
VIRB Elite is water resistant to IPX7 standards, rated for immersion in 1 meter of water for up to 30 minutes. For deeper or longer exposure, the optional Dive Case increases water resistance to a depth of 50 meters.
