The Honeycomb rudder pedals replaced the Logitech Saitek Pro rudder pedals I was using, and thus, I had the chance to compare the two brands.
The shape of Honeycomb's pedals look like real airplane pedals. The angle at which they rest can be adjusted by releasing a hex head screw. Honeycomb provides a hex wrench for this. They are made of metal, which should last a lifetime of use. (One of the reason I bought these pedals is the choice of material: metal, as opposed to plastic. Plastic will dry up and crack over time - metal will not.)
The base is large, nicely formed, and comes out with a VERY neat feature: the choice to set it up for carpet or smooth (i.e. hardwood, tile) floor by simply flipping over four inserts. The inserts have spikes for carpet on one side, and rubber for hardwood / tile floor on the other side.
I have carpet in my living room, and when I was using the Logitech pedals I had to come up with innovative ideas to keep the pedals from sliding on the carpet. Not anymore! The spikes, which are about 1" long, makes the Honeycomb rudder system to stay glued (no pun intended) to the carpet, no matter how hard I push on the pedals. I flipped over to the smooth (rubber-covered) side, and tried them on hard floor (tiles). Again, these pedals didn't move when I pressed them hard. I'm happy with their stability.
Both rudder pedals systems come with a way to increase/decrease the pedals' resistance force, in order to make them as realistic as possible. The Honeycomb button to modify the resistance force is at the back of the base, and sticks out significantly. In order to avoid being hit if the pedals are too close to a wall, Honeycomb added a foam cushion that goes over the knob.
Setting up the force is easy - you just rotate the knob one way or another, which in turns stretches or release more the internal spring that returns the pedals to their zero position.
One disadvantage I have found with this system is that if you instantly release the pressed pedal, the two pedals will oscillate (go back and forth) several times until they come to rest. There is no damper to control the oscillations. This is unrealistic simulation, as in a real airplane there are no such oscillations. It is for this reason I took a star off of my rating.
The possibility to repair (a BIG item on my list when purchasing a gadget): Honeycomb does a good job at offering replacements for parts that are either worn out, or damaged due to regular use.
Would I buy it again? Yes.

The Honeycomb Charlie is built well, feels comfortable, and a great addition to the Honeycomb trio line, its a massive upgrade from the Saitek flight pedals I had for 10 years. I dreaded taxing, and landing because it meant I had to use those pedals.

- Cons: Putting the led on/off button switch location on very low on the back was a dumb design decision. Needed to be on the front where it can be accessible easily. Can't see any reason why they did this and should be changed for future production models
