- Pros: one plug to the radio minimizes the stress caused by the act of connectiing to the radio.
- Cons: Not seen any yet. Lett's see how long the wire sheating holds up.
- Review: I have gone through multiple KX-99 headset adapters over the years. The wires fail over time due to bending and resultant stress. This product with a single molded mic and headphone plug to the radio is a great improvement over the previous two plug design.

- Review: The female plug is probably for the push to talk. I have a KX-99 and at one time had all the cable sets for it but can't find them. I'm not sure of this answer but it's a thought. For those considering the KX 99 I've had mine for 20 years. It doesn't get better.

This cable does exactly what was promised. It let's me use an aviation headset with my KX-99.
Other Comments:
The cable I received is not identical to the picture in that the part that plugs into the KX-99 is not a single plastic block contained the two male connectors. Instead, it's two separate cable ends. In my opinion, this is actually much better because it gives flexibility potentially allowing it to work with other devices.
There's a short wire with a small female connector wired into the mic connection. There were no instructions explaining what this was. I tried plugging my cell phone into it and it didn't work.
