Q: Can the panel mount be used in a 28V (Bonanza) airplane with appropriate receptacle?
A: Yes, the optional 40594G-01 ENC Panel Mount Power Control Module works with 12V to 30V electrical systems. If you will be using it hardwired, you might also consider the David Clark H10-13XP which includes the panel mount module.
Q: Does it come with the storage bag?
A: No, however, David Clark offers a very nice headset bag as an optional accessory here.
Q: is this headset compatible with the Boeing 737-800 jack recepticale?
A: Yes, it uses the two standard plugs (PJ-055 and PJ-068) found on almost all B-737.
Q: Can the H10-13X or XL be used directly with an IPOD?
A: The H10-13X/XL does not have any built-in music interface. The only David Clark Headset that currently has a built in music interface is the David Clark X11. However, you can add the aftermarket headset to CD / MP3 adapter so that it does work with the iPod. There are also a number of aviation headsets from other manufacturers that do include a built-in music interface that can be found on our Aviation Headset Finder tool. Just click on "ANR" and "Cell Phone / Music" under Headset Features to narrow it down. If you have any questions or need help, just give us a call at 1-877-314-7575.
Q: What's the differences between H10-13XL and H10-56HXL? I am particularly interest in the construction and comfort of the headset. Thanks.
A: The main difference is that the 56HXL is a helicopter headset and the 13XL is fixed wing. They are both noise cancelling headsets. For comfort, the 13XL will probably be better for you as it is more lightweight.
Q: Can I use H10-13X in an open cockpit ultralight like Quicksilver MXL II with Rotax 503 two stroke engine?
A: Sure, as long as your aircraft is set up to connect a headset with the dual fixed wing PJ-068 and PJ-055B plugs.
Q: Will this unit fit in the R-22 Heli?
A: No, this is a fixed wing headset. For a Robinson R-22 helicopter you would want the David Clark H10-13HXL.
Q: What is the difference between the David Clark H10-13X and David Clark H10-13XL
A: The David Clark H10-13XL has the option to be powered either by the detachable battery box or a panel-powered plug.
Q: I purchased two of these headsets, now my problem is I need a 25 foot coiled extension cable for it. What do you recommend? I need it ASAP.
A: They do not make a 25' coiled extension cable for this headset. Are you trying to use this for ground support? If so, some of the ground support headsets do have an option for a 25' coiled extension cord.
