Sigtronics Transcom II Portable Intercom

  • Fail safe feature allows pilot to always hear radios - even if the intercom is off.
  • Operates up to 40 hours on one 9-volt battery (included).
  • Includes DC power cable to offer seamless operation on either battery or 11-34 Volt DC aircraft power.
  • Radio priority assures that ATC hears only the crew member transmitting.
  • Push to Talk Switch inputs for both pilot and copilot.
  • AUX audio output: Record ATC communication on your portable device.
  • AUX audio input: Plug in your smartphone or table to enjoy music or get alerts from flight planning apps.

The Transcom II is available in 2 place, 4 place, and 6 place versions with the addition of one or two remote expansion modules (accommodating two passengers each), which are connected to the main unit by a 4 foot cord. This allows the backseat passengers to have their own units and connection points, and helps keep cord entanglements to a minimum.

A music input in all Transcom II intercoms makes long trips more enjoyable for crew and passengers. An audio output records flight dialog for post flight review, a great training tool for any pilot.

Size:  Two of 4" x 2.9" x 2"
Weight:  20.4 oz. with battery and power cord

a great replacement for an old worn out one,

  • By KEM from Hyannis NE USA on Sunday, August 25, 2013
  • Pros:
  • Review: I replaced the nearly 30 year old one. The pilot's headset jack was worn so that communication may be lost.

It lasted long enough that I trusted getting a new one.

And now the down side.

  • By Stan from Portland, OR. on Saturday, November 28, 2009
  • Pros: Sturdy, nice disconect for the back seat plugins
  • Review: This intercom has no indication whatsoever of when it is on, when you are transmitting, when the battery is low, nothing, not one light on it. The battery is a pain in the butt to change, you need a screw driver to take out 8 screws to change them as they are inside the boxes. When ATC gets busy you need to tell everyone to shut up, as there is no Pilot isolate switch. Sigtronics needs to do some catching up with the others and quit being so proud (price wise) of their obsolete technoligy.

  • Pros:
  • Review: I give it a five because it has done everything it advertised so far. I have been using it in my Bonanza and it works great for a portable. The wires are not that hard to get put where they are out of the way. I use the 12volt plug so I don't know about battery life. For the price you can not go wrong!
