Tempest SPIN EZ Aircraft Engine Oil Filters
Dealing with a stuck oil filter? At your next filter change, upgrade to Tempest's patent-pending SPIN EZ aircraft engine oil filters. SPIN EZ filters are designed to come off easily, helping make routine aircraft maintenance faster and less frustrating.
Heat, time, and pressure can force oil, grease, DC-4 compound, or similar liquid lubricants out from between a filter's rubber seal and the engine's filter mount pad. This can leave the filter seemingly bonded to the mount pad and extremely difficult to remove.
Tempest's proprietary SPIN EZ adhered solid seal lubricant stays where it is supposed to - between the seal and the mount pad surface. Unlike liquid lubricants, the solid lubricant will not extrude or squirt out from under the seal. This helps prevent the bonding environment that can cause traditional aircraft oil filters to stick.
SPIN EZ filters can help avoid messy DC-4 compound, damaged filter cans, busted knuckles, and the frustration of fighting a stuck oil filter during removal.
Tempest SPIN EZ Aircraft Oil Filter features:
Important Note: The FAA-approved design of Tempest SPIN EZ spin-on oil filters previously included an optional magnetic inspection aid for maintenance personnel. The magnet was capable of attracting fine steel particles to assist with detecting ferrous material during post-oil-change filter inspection. Due to supply chain disruptions, Tempest is no longer able to procure this proprietary magnet, and this feature is no longer available. All other components and filtration quality of Tempest SPIN EZ spin-on oil filters remain unchanged.
