A: This uses a standard LR626 Alkaline Battery. These are also known as AG4 batteries and either would work fine.

Q: How do I get to the battery?
A: Take a small flathead screwdriver or similar device and pop out the front face of the clock. From there you should be able to access the battery for the clock and replace it as needed.
