Since 1938 the G-1 flight jacket has been regulation issue gear to pilots of the United States Navy. The G-1 is also worn by members of the USMC and US Coast Guard. This leather flight jacket has been worn by Navy and Marine Corps flight crews during the most heroic air battles in history. Before 1965, the G-1 was always made from goatskin. The Navy's current specification allows either goatskin or cowhide. The collar is mouton (lamb's wool).
This G-1 is a modern version of the original G-1 jacket. It features:
- Full cut, fashioned out of 100% antique lamb
- Bi-swing back for ease of movement
- A removable mouton sheep shearling collar
- Knit cuffs and waistband
- Top and side entry pockets (hidden not to detract from the authentic look of the jacket)
- Full zip front wind flap
- Under arm grommets
- Two inside chest pockets
This full cut jacket runs true to size (no need to upsize for more room). Available in regular length sizes Extra Small through 6XL.

- Pros: The only problem I have with this jacket is that there are natural lines going horizontally across the back of the jacket which don’t look nice during construction they should have paid more attention to the character of the leather and used a smooth non blemished piece. I have not worn it since I received it and if I could send it back for another one with no markings like that would be appreciated.

The old school styling is classic and priceless. I live on the west coast and unfortunately the weather this winter has been so good that I have only worn my new jacket twice (lol, good problem to have) A great Winter day and night jacket rain or shine.
I previously purchased this same jacket in the early 80's and would still be wearing it other than the fact my new Pitbull puppy got a hold of it and shortened one sleeves.
The quality is just outstanding and the look and feel makes my Cockpit Jacket a keeper forever.

A: If you meant to type "Z201035M" instead of "Z101035M" then, yes, this is the same jacket. Cockpit does not make a Z101035M.
