Lightspeed engineers researched how pilots perceive noise at various frequencies in the cockpit, then developed technology providing focused noise attenuation over the most critical ranges. The result is the Lightspeed Zulu 3, a headset with the ultimate performance profile and industry-leading total noise cancellation attributes.

Quiet
With patent-pending Microport Vent technology and new electronic cancellation components, the Zulu 3 offers improved active noise reduction (ANR) consistency and performance over a deep, broad range of low frequency noise. The magnesium ear cup is superior at blocking out high frequency noise.

New contoured ear seals are designed to hug the curve of the jaw, reducing side pressure to get a more natural fit for more comfort and stability. These ear seals create 30-50% more space for the ear than other ANR headsets — a key feature of long-term user comfort. The Lightspeed Zulu 3 also includes a free taller head pad to ensure maximum comfort and performance on smaller head shapes (redemption instructions are in the User Guide). In addition the Lightspeed Zulu 3 is outfitted with new cables built around a Kevlar core, which are stronger, lighter, and more flexible than standard cables. And, the Lightspeed Zulu 3 will be backed by an industry-best 7-year warranty (the industry standard is 5 years at best).
