Q: Looking for a comfort kit for the DC H10-76XL, the cloth covers you have you do not recommend for ENC. What options do I have to keep from getting sweaty ears?
A: For Active Noise Reduction (ANR) to work, it needs a tight seal around your ear. The cloth covers break that seal and so they are not recommended (you won't be getting the proper performance from your headset and it could case a loud thumping noise in your ear). I do know that some people will cut out a soft material in the shape of the ear seal and then glue it on the outer edge of the ear seal (the part that touches your head). That would keep the hot gel off your ears and then also allow the ear seals to create the seal around your ear as they normally would.

Q: Are these cloth covers designed to protect the ear seals while the headset is stored away or also to use while flying? Will they fit a David Clark 10-30, will they fit?
A: These are really designed more for comfort when flying; to absorb moisture that can form on the ear seals. I would imagine that they do provide light protection when the headset is stored as well. They will definitely fit on the H10-30.

Q: I have a model H10-30 headset. The ear cushions need to be replaced. Do the "22658G-01 ear cloth cushion covers" replace the ear seals, or are the ear seals still needed?
A: These cushion covers are designed to fit over the ear seals, so if you do need to replace the ear seals themselves you would want to go with either the David Clark Flo-Fit Gel Ear Seals or the David Clark Foam Filled Ear Seals.
