A simpler, cheaper, lighter way to put your tablet it your lap

  • Pros: Simpler and allow you to keep your tablet's usual protective case. Works with virtually any tablet and case.
  • Cons: You can't brag about how much you paid for it. :)
  • Review: One of my complaints about most kneeboards for tablets is that they only work with one specific model with no cover, case or armor. I have seen too many expensive tablets dropped on airport ramps to feel comfortable removing the armored case to transfer it to the kneeboard case, as is required with most kneeboard systems. With the MyClip. you just clip the strap to the case your tablet is already wearing. It also allows you to use it with virtually any tablet or case. The MyClip system is much simpler than one with its own board or case, takes very little storage space and, of course, is much cheaper.

Over priced but works great

  • Pros: Works great and does not get in the way of flying. Can be used on most anything that is not too thick but did work on my ipad with a case great.
  • Cons: Should have clip as well as velcro strap and should have pad to prop up iPad at top. I can make something but for $30 and there cost is maybe $3 it could come with a pad to prop up iPad.
  • Review: Over priced for what it is but it does work great for what it is. I used it with a full sized ipad for flying in both a R22 helicopter and a S-76 Sikorsky in the same day and works great in both aircraft for my full sized iPad with Foreflight. I would buy again but it is way over priced. I should sell for $10 to $15 at most.

  • Review: I have a Ram iPad holder for my yoke, which works great in some planes. However, as a CFI, I switch planes a lot and the Ram has some drawbacks. It's not all that convenient to carry around, iPad overheats in the summer due to its position in the sun, and in some planes, there just isn't enough room to have the iPad on the yoke without it either obstructing my view of the panel or banging on my leg. This clip solves all those problems. It's easy to carry around and keeps the iPad accessible but still out of the way. Would highly recommend!

  • Cons: Have to unclip one side in order to remove and use my Apple Pen from my iPad Mini case. No big deal, the iPad still stays in place on my knee.
  • Review: I fly an RV-14 which has a control stick and I use an iPad Mini that has a low profile case. My iPad Mini case has a slot on the side that holds an Apple Pen. The MyClip kneeboard is perfect for my needs. Low profile, doesn't interfere with the control stick and stays in place. I usually forget that it's there. I have a Garmin G3X system that provides most of my flight info but I still use the Foreflight app to display approach plates and the scratch pad to copy ATIS and clearances. My only issue using the MyClip strap is that in order to access the Apple Pen to write on the iPad, I have to unclip the right clip, remove and then replace the Apple Pen and then re-clip the strap. I find that this is no big deal. The iPad still stays perfectly in place on my knee.

He had previously constructed his own homemade tablet holder made of aluminum with velcro to adhere his tablet. I was hoping his preference would be the MyClip Mini I surprised him with. My husband ended up ditching his homemade tablet holder for the awesome MyClip Mini and loves it. I asked him if he preferred a tablet holder with a swivel option and he said, "no" because of how easy it is to reposition the tablet with the plastic clips, using one hand. He also likes how the clips hold the tablet firmly in position. When his sits in his plane, his knees are at an angle, so an angle adjustment for the tablet holder isn't necessary! GREAT PRODUCT - GREAT VALUE!

Fits an iPhone 6 Plus when turned in the landscape mode

  • Review: Just got the My Clip for iPad today and tried it out. Works well with my iPhone 6 Plus that is encased in a thin Incipio case in the landscape mode. The clips are not close enough together to hold the iPhone 6 Plus in the portrait mode. That's no big deal for me.

    My use is non-aviation. I will use My Clip when navigating streets and roads in a strange city. Better to have the iPhone on my leg than on a dash mounted set up. Easier to tap the screen when iPhone is on my leg than reaching way up to tap the screen if mounted on the dash of the car.

Strap loosens too easily

There should be some kind of stop or clip to prevent that easy release/slide/loosening feature. I wish it didn't do that, because then I would really love it for how sleek, simple & effective it WOULD HAVE been.
