Great value
by Jim from Plainfield IL USA

Pros: Price, ANR quality, short flight comfort
Cons: fit with thicker sunglasses
Review: This has been a great headset during training. The noise cancelling quality is fine, and the controls work well. The headset is comfortable for a few hours, but not much longer, fine for local flights. For some reason, whenever I put on sunglasses that have a thicker frame, the headset is pulled away from my ears and will not work well. I have to use thin frame sunglasses with this headset. The cushions on the headset are mot that thick, but work fine without sunglasses, or with thin frames. You do have to keep the mic close to your lips for your voice to be picked up consistently, but I think that is the same with most sets. In the end I will be upgrading to a nicer headset, but I will use this set for passengers and do not regret buying them for training.

Great headset and features for the price
by Aaron from middle island NY USA

Review: If you're a student pilot or your new to aviation and looking to buy a good but inexpensive headset. this is the one for you. My instructor has had a bose X headset for 3 years. Of course these headsets aren't nearly as good as Bose, but even he said for the price they are a damn good pair of headsets. The only things he noticed (after wearing bose so long) is that they sqeeze slightly and the ANR isn't the greatest. But remember that were comparing a 1000$ headset to a 300$ headset. I'm coming from some old avcom headsets and I love them. I wore david clarks a few times, the only thing david clarks really have that i like were the gel ear seals. But the earseals on these are actually suprisingly confortable. From the picture I thought they were going to be hard and stiff. That wasn't the case. Overall I'm very happy with the headset.

excellent product
by Jackson from Lakewood CO USA

Pros: price, fit
Cons: large battery box
Review: The ear covers are a little uncomfortable with my smith sunglasses present, but not bad enough for me to get new glasses. The ANR capabilities are truly impressive. My flight instructor was jealous. It also works as a passive headset very well if the button gets pushed or the batteries run out (so far, I am just on my 1st set of batteries). Definitely worth the price to save one's hearing. BTW, I am flying in a cessna 172 sp.

Funky Noise
by A Customer from Fort Myers FL USA

Pros: Noise reduction good, price
Cons: Jury still out
Review: Tim from Oakland reports Funky Noise when turning head. Mine did the same. Very unacceptable. Returned to Lightspeed who replaced the ear seals. Problem solved (but for how long??)

Quality headset, good value, comfortable
by Mike from Elk Grove CA USA

Pros: Comfortable, reduces low frequency noise, reduces fatique caused by excess noise levels.
Review: I researched active noise reduction headsets and wanted a headset with high passive noise reduction, also. This headset has good passive noise reduction numbers as well as active noise reduction. Comfortable on the head and ears. Two to three hour flights are very comfortable. Not the most expensive but a very good value.

by Timothy from Oakland CA
Review: Excellent noise reduction for its price. A fine headset all around. The only issue I've had with it is the ANR sometimes gets funky when you twist your head to either side. No idea what causes this. I just flip off the ANR for that flight (it works fine even with PNR), and usually by the next flight all is well again.

Great Value and WORKS
by A Customer from Kingwood TX USA

Pros: Does the ANR job comfortably
Cons: Not many, just a tad pricey.
Review: Very quiet behind a C-182 engine. Comfortable and quite immediatley noticed. Very happy with the value here. Price is good for the value. About $300 would have made it a perfect buy.

OK, but not great
by Josh from Tucson AZ USA

Review: The sound quality on these headphones is OK, but they are not super comfortable. They did not include instructions. I still can't figure out how the noise cancellation even works, even though mypilotstore sent me the instructions by PDF.

A good first pick
by Zeek the sleek from California

Pros: Good value.
Review: This was my first head set. It has served me well. Good active and passive noise-cancellation. Reversible mic is nice as is the adjustable mic sensitivity. Occasional slight delay occurs when beginning to talk after long silence.
