Bluetooth Enable Your Aviation Headset

Now you can easily Bluetooth enable any aviation headset that has a 3.5mm AUX jack.

Over the last decade it has become more and more common for aviation headset manufacturers to add a 3.5mm AUX jack to their headsets. It's convenient for listening to music or interfacing with GPS, terrain, and traffic avoidance systems.

Now, with our Streaming Bluetooth Receiver you can plug this tiny receiver into your 3.5mm AUX jack on the headset and stream music and/or cell phone from any Bluetooth enabled device such as your smartphone or tablet. Only 2" long, less than an ounce, and, it's super easy to setup
and connect.

It works with everything from our $95 Rugged Air RA200 headset to our Bose A20 without Bluetooth and everything in between. As long as your headset has a 3.5mm auxiliary input, it will work.

  • Streaming music and audio via Bluetooth
  • Simple and Easy Set-Up
  • Dual-link allows you to connect two Bluetooth devices (i.e. a GPS and a smartphone) to the receiver at the same time.
  • Approximately 8 hours of play time between charges, rechargeable battery included

Includes:

  • Bluetooth Stereo Audio Music Receiver
  • 3.5mm Audio Cable
  • 3.5mm Audio Adapter
  • USB Charging Cable
  • User Manual

Bluetooth Version: V3.0 + EDR
Frequency Range: 2.4GHz
Operation: Class2
Bluetooth Mode: A2DP / AVRCP
Bluetooth Range: Up to 33 feet
Charge time: 1.5 hours
Play time: Up to 8 hours

NOTE FOR CELL PHONE USE:  Streaming Bluetooth cellular calls require you to use the microphone on the streamer device (your aviation headset microphone will not transmit during a call)

Review: This little gizmo is far more capable than the humble description or price. So my situation is similar to many of you ... I bought my Bose headset (from Mypilotstore) before Bluetooth music was an option. I could've purchased the new cord assembly, but I've flown with some folks that exhausted their headset batteries playing music via Bluetooth. I've stuck to the wired method to date, and my batteries thank me often. Finally took the plunge on this guy an WOW was I surprised. It holds a long charge, is solidly built, paired immediately, comes with a couple of adapters, and is generally awesome. I also ran a little test to see if I could pair it with an Android, set a countdown timer with an alarm, and use as an audible fuel timer ... and of course it worked perfectly.

Not too shabby
by Eric from Seattle WA USA

Review: It gets the job done. It's a bit bulky for me, and the plug is big. An integrated plug would help my needs. The audio is only okay. Decent for music, good for voice. I bought two, and they both perform the same. There are better ones out there.

Review: I love my Bluetooth receiver. The only suggestion for improvement would be to use a jack with a thinner outer shell, as mine needed to be modified in order to fully engage my headphones (part of the jack was contacting the headdphone before being fully inserted).

good product
by Danny from Chillicothe OH USA

Review: Did not work for aviation headset with cell phone because the mic is on the device and always on, picking up to much cabin noise. If it could blue tooth mic audio from headset it would be great. Other usses in the plane car or garage it is great for Bluetoothing audio from a tablet to an input on your stereo, the mic would probably OK in a quiet environment.

Previous Customer Questions For Bluetooth Enable Your Aviation Headset :
Ask Your Own Question
On Saturday, July 08, 2017 a customer asked:
Q:
Can I plug this into an airline audio jack and receive the airlines sounds into my wireless buds?
A:

Sure!  That would work fine assuming the airline has the 3.5mm jack.

On Saturday, March 25, 2017 a customer asked:
Q:
Can this be used to pipe music in to the "music jack" on my intercom system?
A: Anywhere that you have a standard 3.5mm AUX jack that is used for music, you can use this device to eliminate the cords that you would have normally used.  So, if your intercom has a 3.5mm AUX that you can plug a music device into, then you will be able to use this instead.

On Monday, February 20, 2017 a customer asked:
Q:
what adapter do I need for the Bose X?
A: Sorry, the Bose X does not have an AUX in jack so there is no way to connect it to a smartphone/tablet.
