ASA Instrument Refresher Demo

Instrument Refresher is the only flight simulator designed for instrument pilots to practice the FAA instrument currency flight procedures and prepare for the Instrument Proficiency Check (IPC). The Instrument Refresher software contains 24 lessons divided into four "Blocks" of learning:

Radio Navigation
Airwork
Enroute Procedures
Instrument Approaches.
A fifth Block, IPC Flight, simulates a comprehensive instrument proficiency check flight.
Block 6 is called Free Flight, which allows you to leave the instructional environment and fly on your own, with no guidance or prompts, with access to a comprehensive U.S. and worldwide database, and the approach scenarios pre-programmed for you to practice solo.

IPC Demo Movie with Quicktime 6 (16,029KB) - Download this file if you don't have Quicktime 4 or later installed. The file contains IPC's demo movie, Quicktime 6's installer files, and the ReadMeFirst file.

Test-Fly ASA Instrument Refresher

The flyable demo file is a self-executable file, called "ipc_demo_installer.exe". Download this file, and save it to your choice of location on your computer's hard drive. After downloading, close all programs, including your Internet connection, virus scanner and your browser.

Select "Start/Run."
In the "Run" box enter the location of the file.
Select "OK". The installation routine will begin automatically; follow the installer's prompts. When it has completed, it will install a shortcut to the program on your desktop. To run the demo, double-click on this shortcut. You may also use the shortcut created in your "Programs" menu. If you have previous ASA products installed, you will find this shortcut in the "ASA Interactive/Instrument Refresher Demo" folder.
