Garmin GFC500 Autopilot Panel for Flight Simulators Features
Modeled after a popular general aviation autopilot, the GFC500 Autopilot Panel provides realistic control for flight simulation setups. The unit features functioning rubber buttons for each autopilot mode along with indicator LEDs that reflect the active operating mode.
A multifunction control wheel allows you to easily adjust target indicated airspeed, vertical speed, or altitude. Dedicated HDG and CRS knobs provide additional precise control, similar to what pilots use in real aircraft.

Q: I have a GFC 500 in my Skyhawks. Will this unit do everything that my unit does?
A: The RealSimGear unit is a replica controller designed to give you the physical buttons, knobs, and LEDs to control your simulator''s autopilot. It covers the core modes (altitude hold, vertical speed, heading, course, and indicated airspeed), but advanced features found in the real GFC 500 such as overspeed/underspeed protection, electronic stability and protection, and approach coupling are dependent on what the flight simulator itself models, not the hardware controller. So while the physical interface will feel very familiar, the full feature set of your real-world GFC 500 may not be replicated entirely depending on which software simulator and aircraft you use.
