The Stratus 4 is the latest generation of portable ADS-B receivers, bringing enhanced situational awareness, expanded app compatibility, and new safety-focused features into a compact cockpit companion. Built on trusted Stratus technology, it adds a full-color touchscreen, Apple Find My integration, and expanded traffic capabilities for today’s connected cockpit.
Dual-band ADS-B weather and traffic are delivered subscription-free, with traffic displayed directly inside your preferred electronic flight bag. The built-in AHRS provides supplemental attitude information, and automatic flight data recording logs every flight. Q: What is open ADS B ?
A: Open ADS-B means the Stratus 4 uses the standard GDL-90 protocol, making it compatible with virtually any EFB app not just Appareo''s own apps. This is in contrast to some competing devices like the ForeFlight Sentry and Garmin GDL 50 (as shown in the comparison chart) which do not have this open compatibility, limiting which apps they can be used with.

Q: Using Samsung S8 tablet with Garmin FltGo app. Need to track live traffic within and in proximity of TFR's for air show that I'm working. Will this overlay TFR/Live Traffic on FltGo maps to ID intruders?
A: Yes, the Stratus 4 will work with Garmin FltGo (FltPlan Go) to overlay both TFRs and live ADS-B traffic on the maps. FltPlan Go supports the Stratus 4 and displays TFR boundaries as well as dual-band ADS-B traffic data that the Stratus 4 receives. This will allow you to identify traffic within and around TFR areas during air show operations.

A: No, the Stratus 3 ADS-B Receiver Mounting Cradle will not fit the Stratus 4.
The Stratus 4 uses the Stratus 4 Mounting Clip which, along with the Stratus ADS-B Receiver Suction Cup Mount, is included with your purchase of the Stratus 4. -
