Verified PurchaseQ: Do they support Garmin GTX 335/345 – Mode S (with ADS-B Out)
A: The Wicom Aviation Headset with fixed-wing plugs will work in any aircraft that has the standard dual GA plugs (PJ-055 for mic, PJ-068 for phones). The Garmin GTX 335 and GTX 345 transponders (with ADS-B Out) don’t interface directly with the headset they connect to your aircraft’s avionics stack, not your audio system.
Your headset connects to the aircraft’s audio panel or intercom, and that’s what provides the audio and mic path. As long as your aircraft has the standard dual GA jacks (which nearly all fixed-wing panels do), the Wicom headset will work fine regardless of whether you’re running a GTX 335, GTX 345, or any other transponder model.
Q: Stereo/ mono
A: No, this does not support stereo music separation. You will hear the same thing in both ears.
Q: Will it work with SP400 handheld radio?
A: Yes, this will work with the SP-400 transceiver as long as you have the headset adapter with the SP-400.
Q: Does this come with a carrying bag/case?
A: This does not come with a headset bag but you can find our selection of headset bags here.
