Kennon's Sun Shields are well known and respected in the aviation industry. Manufactured using state of the art material and designed to press fit into the window moldings without scratching, our shields are easily installed and removed. No suction cups are needed to keep our panels in place. With a reflection value between 93-94%, our sun shields will provide years of sun protection and privacy for your aircraft. Each set is custom made including a strap to hold the panels together and a nylon storage bag to keep your sun shields clean and free from damage when not in use.

Our custom-made sun shield sets are now built using a new material that is a more ductile and lighter weight material than our classic material. It offers the same UV radiation protection, is thinner with a more complex, closed-cell, polyethylene insulation system. It is non-toxic, non-carcinogenic, and utilizes a greener manufacturing process.

Each shield fits perfectly and stays in place without velcro or suction cups. Kennon introduced its wedge fitting sun shield in 1986 and since then over 100,000 sets have been sold. They're the best loved and most imitated shield on the market today! A perfectly cut shield remains in the window with friction and will serve you for many years. A lesser shield will provide many years of frustration! Don't settle for imitations. Kennon Sun Shields are computer cut. You'll never have to use suction cups nor velcro to work-around a fit problem.

Four Reasons Why More Pilots Use Kennon Sun Shields

  • Kennon Sun Shields are computer cut. You'll never have to use suction cups nor velcro to work-around a fit problem.

We do not recommend use of these sun shields with polarized windows.

Trying to decide between sun shields and a Cabin Cover? Here are some things to think about.

  • Sun Shields are installed inside the plane where it is cleaner and calmer. Kennon builds one of the safest cabin covers, however there is no exterior cover in the world that will withstand Mother Natures full fury.
  • Shields better protect your planes contents from prying eyes. A prowler can lift and exterior cover to see what you have inside but, he can't remove the interior sun shields before breaking in.
  • Sun Shields keep the cockpit cooler. We guarantee that no other cover keeps your cockpit cooler.
  • Sun Shields are more economical than a full exterior cover.

Each sun shield is custom made. During checkout, please specify the year, make, and model of your aircraft in the "Special Instructions" space.

This is for ordering Sun Shields for a Single or Light Twin.

NOTE: Piper Malibu, Piper Mirage, Cessna 325, and Cessna 340 are considered Business Class Sun Shields.

Perfect... almost

  • By NUJU from Southern Caribbean on Tuesday, December 10, 2013
  • Pros: VERY effective in keeping cabin cool and protecting the interior
  • Review: Excellent Product. Easy to install and remove.. we are based in the Southern Caribbean so leave the windshield panels up until the last minute...
(One window panel does not stay in position).

Not for Premier 1

  • By A Customer from Santa Clarita CA USA on Tuesday, September 02, 2008
  • Pros: Helpfull Staff, Great Store
  • Review: Due to manufacturing process of Premier 1 windows a internally reflective window screen should never be used. According to Beach it will burn the electronics associated with the window anti-icing up from to much internal heat. Sales staff was very helpful no problem with the product or company just not for this aircraft.

Don't leave home without them

  • By Roger from Gold Coast Australia on Wednesday, January 16, 2008
  • Pros: They do a great job of reflecting sun
  • Review: These sun shields make a huge difference to the aircraft temp when parking on the apron. We even use them during short ops stops (even if the temp is over 100) and can board a cool aircraft to depart.
