This Plane Tag is from the very first Boeing 757 aircraft built for Delta Airlines in 1984. By 1992, Delta had five hundred B-757 aircraft and today operates the largest Boeing 757 fleet in the world.

Designed to be the longest single aisle twin-jet commercial aircraft ever built. The Boeing 757-200 sported new technology wing and engines to give the best fuel mileage of any standard-body airlines. Boeing produced a total 1,050 of the aircraft, with the last 757 being built for Shanghai airlines in 2005.

This particular PlaneTag was cut from Boeing 757-200, construction number (C/N) 22809, that was built at the Boeing factory in Renton, WA and first delivered to Delta Airlines in November 1984. It operated as Delta N602DL until it was retired in June 2013.
