  • Review: The A24 radio requires an accurate power input or it goes unstable in transmit mode. The previous power supply (the ICOM one) needed to be disconnected for TX otherwise the transmission was overloaded. Maybe there was somthing wrong with it, I don't know. Anyway, this aftermarket model works perfectly. It does not need to be disconnected for TX. Not only that, it is much smaller and lighter than the genuine power supply. I am very happy with it.

  • Review: I bought this because I was having problems with my new LYNX headset/intercom system. After months of trying to find out why it was malfunctioning, I realized my Icon A4 battery might be worn out. Instead of buying a new battery, I decided to get this adapter, and simply keep my trusty Icon plugged into 12v throughout the flight. Sure enough, my problems disappeared! This charger keeps my Icon up and running perfectly, and I still haven't replaced the bad battery yet! This charger does NOT interfere with transmitting, which is really neat. Oddly, the A/C charger which comes with the Icon does NOT let you transmit. So I am VERY happy with this purchase!

  • Review: This cord works in conjunction with the battery, I found that my preference in my little Experimental is to use an alternate product, an aftermarket battery eliminator that also uses a cigarette lighter cord, also. So, without the battery, I can flip the radio switch off on my panel and do not need to also turn the radio off on the radio. No risk inworks for charging the battery accidentally leaving the radio on and killing the battery.
