- Review: [This review refers to the FuelHawk Cessna 172 Long Range Fuel Gauge version] Ever looked into that deep, dark hole called a fuel tank and wondered just how much fuel is really in there? I always hated that and now there is no more wondering for me. I have a lot more peace of mind knowing exactly how much fuel is in each tank before take-off. I used the "stick method" in the past and all you really know is that you have 5" of fuel but how many gallons is that? How many inches per hour does your airplane use? I didn't know either. The fuel hawk gives you a readout in gallons which is useful information that you can actually use in calculations without having to guess. Great product!!

Products are good - took two tries to get the right one

- Review: The fuel gauges (C-172 and C-182) are easy to read and appear to be very well made. A good investment in always knowing how much fuel you're starting out with. The only problem I had was that MyPilotStore initially sent me the wrong C-182 gauge. There are two different gauges for different C-182s, but they are both described only as "Cessna 182 fuel gauge". Upon discovering that I had received the wrong one, I contacted MyPilotStore to return it. Service was excellent - they sent me a return authorization and prepaid shipping envelope, and no arguing. I would buy from these folks again.

- Review: I used it today when I fueled the Skylane. I checked the quantity as i was fueling to gauge the accuracy of the Fuel Hawk. It seems to be relatively accurate. It is important that the plane be level when using it. It gives me greater confidence in my fuel on board.

Really checking fuel

- Review: We have two group-owned airplanes that we leave 3-gal-down from full when we park the plane in our hangar. This practice prevents grumbling about one owner paying for another's fuel, but to do it well, we needed an accurate measurement. This fuel stick works very well in the wet-wing C182 and moderately well in the bladdered C206, the difference being where the filler opening is. We used two SS hose clamps and washers with a polyethylene can lid to prevent the fuel stick from falling into the tank. Would we buy these again? Yes. In fact, we have bought spares.

- Review: My airplane had the fuel bladders and fuel caps replaced. This fuel stick makes it a lot easier to see how much fuel is in the tanks and so far it has been accurate to abut a a gallon.

One size does not fit all

- Review: I bought this for a 182A and B model. It isn't calibrated exactly for this plane. The stick that has been used in the airplane differs from the fuel hawk up until 15 gallons, then it matches perfectly. I still use it, but it isn't as accurate as I'd have hope.
