My Bose A20 worked in a AH-1F COBRA **** YEAH!!!

  • Review: Wait before I review the product, let me tell you. I'm a >5 yr CFL-H and I love my Bose A-20. I went to Atlanta to fly with the Army Heritage Foundation and get a ride in an AH-1F Cobra. I bought this adapter to use my headset but of course if it didn't work I'd have used the AHF's DC headsets.

    OH but it worked. OH YES. I plugged in the 9V battery, plugged in my headset and YES IT WORKED.

    Some reviewers on Amazon have said they hate that there's no on/off switch. I agree that one would be useful. Because, you know, unplugging the battery takes five seconds. That's way too long. Because even spooling down a turbine or cooling down an IO-540 takes two minutes... so yeah that five seconds is intolerable.

    Ok enough with the sarcasm. Let me share two things with you:
    1. If you have never flown in a COBRA go hit up the Army Heritage Foundation and fly one. Bruce was my pilot and the things he demonstrated... were amazing.

    2. This adapter works. If you have a civilian helicopter headset you want to use in a military aircraft this is the shiznatz. Plug in battery. Plug in headset. Plug into military aircraft. (Note: Must acquire military aircraft)

Excellent "Just works" solution

  • Review: I started my helicopter training a few weeks ago and have been using this adapter since day 1. I am flying with a 3M Peltor Comtac 3 and it just works! Squelch and listening volume are totally reasonable on my helicopter. No adjustments required. Just plug and play!

Great Compatibility with Bose A20

  • Cons: Design: Not the greatest thing to look at.
  • Review: Great Product. Wish the design was as fluid as the Sigtronics Adapter. However, there was a world of difference in terms of audio quality between the two. Worked flawlessly as if there was no adapter connected.

Great adapter

  • Review: I was looking for a second helicopter headset for family member to use when they wanted to fly with me but didn't want to spend too much since it wouldn't be used that often. After browsing around for options I found this adapter which allows me to use my DC H10-76 military headset. Well mypilotstore shipped it out quick as usual and the adapter works great.

Impedance Adapter

  • Review: Great piece of kit for our Peltor ComTac headsets to plug into our helicopters. Compact, inline, easy for us to disconnect and tuck in our jackets once we leave the aircraft on a hoist.
    The transmit volume is quite loud but that's most likely a headset issue.

Worked for a short time

  • Cons: For the money I would have liked them to last longer
  • Review: I used this product about 5 times. It worked great at first and then progressively my transmissions became weaker and weaker until all you could hear was breaking squelch.
