Cockpit USA Lightweight A-2 Pilot Flight Jacket (black)

I have had many flight jackets over the years being a retired Army Pilot. I would never dream of climbing over my greasy helicopter with this jacket. It is more fitting for a Bonanza if I had a Bonanza!

Seriously, this is a beautiful light weight smooth as silk jacket. The leather is light weight but still is not fragile. I was not worried about easily tearing the leather as I have been in a light weight goat skin jacket I have had in the past. The quality is superb. 

I was going on a trip to Scotland last fall and was worried about the continuous rainy weather there. I contacted the manufacturer directly and asked about using a high quality water and stain protector on it. She actually ran some tests on a jacket in stock to make sure. Based on her recommendations I ordered two cans of Pro-Tex Water+ Stain Protector (NANO). I sprayed one can on the jacket. I was not in pouring rain while in Scotland but was out in light rain running from train to taxi and such. The rain water brushed off with no spotting. 

 I measure as a 48 and weigh 210 at 5 feet 11.5 inches. I bought the 3x size so if needed I could wear a sweater under it and I like a roomy jacket. A 2X would have worked OK as well for me. Mypilotstore was great to work with. I returned a heavier weight jacket and exchanged it for this one with absolutely no problems. You will love this jacket!
