Q: Why is the width at the shoulders smaller that the width at the chest on most sizes?

The measurements are measured from seam to seam for the shoulders. Technically, the pattern is cut with the shoulders slightly smaller because the bottom of the sleeve, at the armpit, is slightly wider at the point where the chest is measured.

Almost all types of clothing are cut and measured in the same way.-, even adult clothing. When this item is worn it is not noticeable and doesn't feel any different than a standard jacket.

A: This is a dark brown.   The care instructions say, "Wipe Clean with damp cloth using soap and warm water."

A: This runs small.  We suggest that you order one size larger than you normally would order.

A: Unfortunately, the 14-16 is the largest size in which it is made.

A: The outside is a synthetic leather.

A: It has some insulation, however I would not consider it a very cold weather jacket.
