The CWU-45P Flight Jacket is Alpha’s version of the U.S. Air Force and US Navy current issue cold weather flight jacket. It is manufactured to military specs but it is made from nylon instead of Nomex.

This jacket met my expectations for a non-military issued flight jacket. Quality is the best I've seen from a non-military issued jacket of this type. It has a high-quality set of zippers (pocket and front zipper). I live in a cold climate (North Idaho) and this jacket does a very good job of keeping me warm. The only issue I have with this jacket is that it came slightly smaller than advertised. I wear a 2XL, which is what I ordered. The jacket fits me very tight, in that I can only wear a T-shirt under it. My Military issued 45P flight jacket is 2XL and it fits with room to spare, although it is almost worn out and I don't like to wear it in public.
The price for this jacket is worth it. You will spend much more for a new or used authentic P-45 military issued jacket.

- Cons: I wear a 2XL so that is what I ordered. The jacket I received is marked 2XL but it is very tight in that I can only wear a T-shirt under it. I don't know if all of these jackets run smaller than marked, so I recommend you consider ordering a one-size-up than you would normally wear.
