Q: What is the difference of the retrofit kit vs just buying the M-7 microphone?
A: You can use either, but this M-7/DC is just a newer, improved, version of the M-7A microphone with better noise cancelling characteristics.

Q: Will this retrofit kit replace the Dynamic Microphone on an H10-76? I converted the headset from helicopter type with an adaptor but microphone doesn't seem to work
A: In order to complete the conversion on the H10-76 for use in general aviation fixed wing aircraft, you will need to swap out the dynamic mic on the headset for an electret mic which can be found here.

Q: I have a high noise cockpit. Aircraft,Swiss fighter,Which, when I talk the noise in the cockpit comes over the mike. Will the DC M-7/DC help ?
A: I assume you have an H10-40 or H10-30 headset? If so, this electret microphone (M-7A) does a better job blocking out background noise, and it only activates when you speak. The dynamic microphone on the H10-30 or H10-40 ( M-1/DC) is a fine unit, but it is older technology, and doesn't block out as much background noise.
