Review:
I work in Live Sports Television Production environments, (i.e. Arenas, Stadiums, and other Loud surroundings). The production trucks have a certain headsets that have been used since the 1980's and 90's. RTS and ClearCom make a beltpack interface for intercoms use. The Pin assignment used for these beltpacks follow the same Connection Pin assignment that this adapter provides. So if you have a pair of Dave Clarks, Bose A30 or other General Aviation 2 Plug Headsets this adapter does and should work for your similar working environments.

A: Yes, this will convert it to the 6-pin XLR but it will NOT get power from the aircraft. If you want it to be powered, you would need a new Bose A30 cable assembly with XLR instead.

Q: I have a plantronics MS200 headset that is has the standard two plugs for Boeing aircraft. Will this adapter work if I'm transitioning to Airbus 319/320? How come the Airbus plug/end is stainless/metallic gray in color? Is there any difference from the other adapters that have a black end/plug? Thanks.
A: This adapter will work as long as the Airbus has an XLR-5 connection. I am not certain why this adapter has a metallic connection however it should not be any different than other adapters that serve the same purpose.
