Easily Secured Aircraft GoPro Mount

Installation is simple. While not required, MyPilotPro recommends involving an A&P mechanic, and a logbook entry is also needed. To install, disassemble the mount to isolate the nylon puck. Remove an existing inspection plate screw and replace it with one 1/2" longer (not included), passing the screw through the puck's center hole. Place the neoprene washer between the mount base and the inspection plate, then secure it in place. Reassemble the full mount onto the puck.

For added security, the mount includes a stainless steel safety hairpin. After the mount has been reassembled to the puck and the wing nut has been firmly tightened, insert the hairpin into the hole at the end of the threaded bolt. This helps prevent the wing nut from loosening and keeps the mount assembly secured to the inspection plate puck.
