The Icom BC-214 is a six-unit battery charger designed for radios using Icom BP-279 and BP-280 batteries. It is compatible with select Icom aviation transceivers, commercial radios, amateur radios, and licence-free / PMR / CB radios.

Q: Do i plug in just the batteries or the transceivers with the batteries in them?
A: According to the manual, you can charge the radio either way - you have the flexibility to insert the battery pack into the BC-214 multi-charger with or without the transceiver attached.

Q: Will this work with ICOM IC-A16 radios? They have BP-280 batteries.
A: Yes, this is fully compatible with the Icom IC-A16 and Icom IC-A16B transceiver batteries.
