The two major differences between these Airport Windsocks and other are the material and construction.
These airport windsocks are made with a premium nylon fabric that is made in the USA to exacting standards. This premium nylon offers unparalleled windsock durability to the elements and will not become rigid in cold weather, keeping the windsocks extremely responsive in even the slightest of wind. From there the windsock gets urethane coated and UV protected, giving them superior fade resistance and color retention. The material is subjected to a variety of tests by an independent lab to verify its structural integrity and UV resistance. This superior material is then cut and sewn right here in our own facility. Reinforced double stitched hems and heavy duty brass grommets assure these windsocks have long life reliability.
Available in a variety of lengths and diameters.
If you are replacing an existing windsock and need to get the measurements, follow these instructions:
- Windsock Diameter: the diameter is measured across the large opening of the windsock if it is round (not laying flat). If you don't have a frame and it's laying flat then you would measure the width of the opening of the flat windsock. Multiply that number by 2. And, then divide that number by 3.14. That's your diameter.
- Frame Diameter: The windsock frame diameter is the dimension measured across the largest hoop.
Also available in Orange/White Windsock color combo.
Windsock Frames are sold separate. The Windsock Frame you choose MUST match the first number of the Windsock (the diameter). For example, if you get the 8 x 36" Windsock you must get the 8" Windsock Frame.

A: We do carry the Airport Ball Bearing Windsock Frame; however, the pipe would need to be sourced from a local hardware store. - The frame fits all standard 3/4" NPT pipe threads. Note: if shopping for the 36" frame the pipe does jump to 1"

Q: If you already have an existing flag pole do you need a airport ball bearing windsock frame
A: Yes, you need an Airport Ball Bearing Windsock Frame. There is no real way to attach a windsock directly to a flagpole. And, it will not rotate appropriately.

A: You would first need to attach it to a windsock frame. These frames are ready to be mounted on a 3/4" female pipe thread (not included) for the 8", 13", 18" and 24" frames.
