Pros: .Very easy to navigate through the diagrams, if you have a dual monitor even better. Great feedback on practice exams as well. Basically every question I had on the written exam was in the Gleim practice exams. Like shooting fish in a barrel, if you use it like it should be used.
Cons: none that I can think of
Review: I spent 2 hours a day for 7 days with this product and aced the exam.

Pros: It is a great product I think
Cons: I think the explanation of the answers could be expanded.
Review: I used this product for IFR and the Commercial. The instructor is just for signing you off.

Pros: Every FAA question and answer was in the software
Cons: You do not necessarily learn the subject
Review: Great program I passed with a 96% using the software for 2 weeks. I did not log how manty hours I spent, but it was alot. The program allows you to stop and go back to where you left off. Every question in the FAA test was in the software. Big help with those questions that are not clear. I need more study to pass the oral exam, but that is a different issue.

Pros: Exactly like the real test, explains why answers are right and wrong
Cons: none
Review: I bought this product two weeks bofore I took the commercial written and got my knowledge to a level that allowed me to score a 97 on the actual written. I recommend this product to all people!

Pros: Ease of use
Cons: Needs updating
Review: There were 6 questions on the commericial exam that were not in the review questions. Most of them were about private pilot stuff and had very vague best of 3 answers will all being a little correct so hard to eliminate any answers so ultimately they were a guess. Still made a 88 on the exam so not great but still passing.

Pros: Efficient Study Product
Cons: Be Careful with Updates
Review: I have used Test Prep for Private and IFR and it is a good product. However, I encountered a snag with the updates. First, if you update you will loose your history and have to start over in order to get the Self Study Certificate. I updated and had to start over. Two weeks later I took the test and passed but there were new questions not in the study material. I call Gleim and I needed to update again, but loosing my progress report previously, I was not about to update again. A good product but be careful.

Pros: good practice before test
Cons: costs too much, considering what it does is available for free
Review: I only bought this cd because I couldn't get anyone to endorse me to take the written test. I needed it for the endorsement printout at the end. I still haven't found a good CFI yet. I have the book version, which was more than enough. The usefulness of this cd was in it's creation of practice tests. Although this function is also available on the internet for free. In the end, I got my endorsement to test (the only extra value of this cd), and received 99% for the score.

Pros: heck, it launched and did what I expected
Cons: explaination to answers can be TOTALLY incorrect... in short I can't trust this product.
Review: "Beware of Controlled Flight Into Terrain" should be the title of this product. Almost all the answers to the questions are correctly answered, but some of the answer discussions/explanations are TOTALLY wrong. I performed an update hoping that something miraculous would happen, but there were no updates. I don't feel I can trust the folks who created this product to have asked a suitable question, researched the correct answer or understand the processes to come to a correct answer. I chose "Gleim Commercial Pilot Test Prep Software - CD-ROM" because of all the complains folks had with the other test preparation materials. I called Gleim to find out why enormous errors existed in their software, and was told, in short, that the software is not guaranteed to be correct... Wow, I hope we as pilots have a little more integrity than Gleim. I'm throwing it in the trash and using the internet to study -throwing a few bones toward those internet sites that are helpful!! If you decide to make this purchase, please be careful.
