  • Review: I think the quality of the low wing airplane weathervane is great for the price paid. I was afraid it would not hold up to the strong winter, Iowa winds but so far it has not disappointed. We mounted it to our deck...I bought it for my husband because we are both new pilots and are always looking for wind direction and speed. This gives us an idea without calling AWOS or looking online.

Well Made And Attractive Addition To My Roof

  • Pros: Well made, substantial and attractive design. Nice weather resistant finish
  • Cons: Unit is so massive that it take a lot of wind to spin the air cups and move the plane.
  • Review: This weather vane is substantial, has a nice finish and is coated to resist the elements. However, its substantial ( heavy construction ) is kind of its downfall. Even after lubricating the unit with light machine oil, because of its mass, it takes a fairly stiff wind to move it around and the air cups barely move. I saw this comment from another buyer. but bought it anyway because I liked its appearance. I have a professional weather station mounted to my roof, so this unit is just an esthetic addition and not for accurate reporting. At the end of the day, I do not regret purchasing it.
