IT was accurate

  • By A Customer from tempe AZ USA on Monday, March 21, 2011
  • Pros: this is the test guide
  • Cons: the test was a pain
  • Review: The FAA written test (taken March 2011) was based on this test guide. Be sure and use the note at the front to check for updates on line as it updated maybe 5 questions and 3 were on the test.

Good enough to pass the test

  • By Ed from Varna IL USA on Monday, May 7, 2012
  • Review: Gleim is the best but ASA did the job I asked for. I passed the test with a 96. Having the questions mixed together rather than separating recip, turbojet and jet made it a bit of a pain. Explanations were to the point.

Serves as a great template for large aircraft systems study

  • By Phil from Edgewood MD USA on Friday, February 29, 2008
  • Pros: Excellent reference for initial study as well as review.
  • Cons: Not as up-to-date with FAA revisions and releases as it could be.
  • Review: While the book has all the clear and concise explanations one could ask for that pertains to the FE Written, it seems to be one or two cycles short of the most current FAA tests. It is nonetheless an excellent reference, with clear and understandable categorization, diagrams and definitions.
