Good but the "how to use" is out of date
By Tom

Pros: This is a really good book to study up on before your check-rides, it's worth the small investment for sure.
Cons: The out of date references it provides in the 'how to use this book' section.
Review:
I used this for my Private and Instrument and really liked it, however when I tried to use the "how to use this book" section and strike out the irrelevant questions from the 'Commercial Pilot Oral Exam Guide' book by M.Hayes, I found all of the references were incorrect. For example, it directed me to disregard all of the questions about basic weather, icing, density altitude, etc., which are obviously still very relevant to Helicopters.
I guess this is because the CP oral guide is Eight Edition, and the Helicopter Oral Guide is 2nd Edition, a lot of the references are now out of sync.
Pretty annoying, I can't find an updated reference online.
It's frustrating to start to learn things you later find out are only relevant to fixed wing, but not the biggest deal.

Worth the money

Pros:
Cons: A couple of small things out of date.
Review:
There were a couple small things out of date, like how many seconds for an R22's clutch light to be aluminated before pulling the circuit breaker, but other than that very good. Make sure you also reference the POH, as you should already be doing prior the the eval.

Not engough "true" Q & A.

Pros: Cover is good...being a product of ASA it needs to live up to its history
Cons: N/A
Review:
Your questions need to be more in line with the FAA PTS for Helicopters. The question were general in the sense of the layman would ask.
