Better Than All Others I've Tried

  • Review: I own and operate a tailwheel school employing J3 Cubs.I have tried numerous brands of 9-volt intercoms and have found the SPO-22N to be the best of all. It isn't perfect but it sure is better. It takes some very fine tuning on the squelch to function properly.

Great Product

  • Pros: compact, solid enclosure, good quality parts, excellent noise reduction.
  • Cons: Would be nice to have individual pilot/copilot volume controls
  • Review: The product itself is great and would have gotten 5 stars if it would allow cell phone calls to be made using the audio input jack. Everything works as advertised and I am very happy with it. I am using it in a PPC, so it doesn't get much more "open cockpit" than that. Would be nice if they offered a pouch that could be used to attach it to frame rails, or in my case the CG tubes with velcro. I made one for a 20 dollars, so it's not that big of a deal.

No different then a regular version

  • Cons: No significant noise reduction was noticed during test in open cockpit.
  • Review: I purchased this intercom in hopes to curb the wind and engine noise in my open cockpit airplane. To my disappointment it was just as noisy as a regular version of the intercom. I tried three different intercoms and all three have the same quality of communication.
