Careful in a hangar

  • By Anthony from Nashua NH USA on Friday, November 30, 2012
  • Pros: Work as advertised outside
  • Cons: Slide in a hangar
  • Review: Works fine outside on the concrete and asphalt but on a smooth hangar floor, the chocks will slide if you lean on the aircraft at all.

Expected more from

  • By A Customer from Alpharetta GA USA on Wednesday, March 14, 2012
  • Pros: Right size and fit. Like the logo-good quality
  • Cons: weight too low
  • Review: I expected this product to be a lot heavier. Easily washed away with a heavy rain or blown in a strong wind. It would be a good idea to include rthe weight in the product description. Or redesign the product to have two cords (or elastic)holding the two pieces together.

Free advertising for which you are overcharged

  • By George the CFI from Oakdale NY USA on Tuesday, November 30, 2010
  • Pros: attractive silver wing ASA advertising logo on black plastic
  • Cons: Too expensive for what you get, an item useful only after reworking
  • Review: The chocks are a molded semi-rigid plastic. They are contoured to fit a standard aviation tire. The polypropylene rope is long enough to span a ten inch tire. The assembly quality control is non-existent. One set had a a left-hand chock tied to a right-hand mate as evidenced by the side in which the rope hole is drilled confirmed by a letter molded on the inside. The second set had two left-hand halves making it impossible to install except with the rope under the tire? The rope is attached with a single overhand knot--sure to fail. I had to rework the sets by installing a backing washer and retying with a figure eight knot. The mismatched pair required the drilling of a hole on the opposite side.
